The Darcy Band
Front man Darcy Crawford spent his early life growing up on a tour bus following his father’s success as a comedian down under. Having lived in several countries and traveled across continents Darcy began playing music that spoke of his experiences. He soon moved to the UK to follow his passion and met drummer Oli Hopkins where together they formed the band now known as DARCY. Although the band saw various line-up changes in the early days Darcy and Oli remained determined and headed north where, in a remote cabin on a lake; they set up their own musical haven in foothills of the Manchester moorlands. When the time came to cut their first record the band worked with Nashville veteran Jason Delkou over in the USA recording a six track E.P Co-written by some of the legends of American country song writing. This debut release went on to win the band two awards at the 2017 BCMA awards including "Song of the year" with title track "Too Country for you" marking the beginning of their professional career. Since then DARCY have solidified their line up introducing award winning rock musician Sam Taylor on lead guitar just before the 2018 festival season which saw the band headline one of the biggest independent country festivals in the UK "Buckle and Boots". With their explosive arena ready live show and highly addictive country rock sound the band are pushing forward with an upcoming Australian tour and a further 5 nominations at the 2018 BCMA awards. DARCY invite you to join them and share in the good times... because at the end of the day life is a party!
