Lee Davis has been singing and entertaining since 1974 when his first band began playing the pub and club circuit in the North East. Upon being made redundant in 1985, Lee decided to launch a full time career in the entertainment business. With the guidance of a top North East Theatrical Manager and Agent, Lee spent the next fifteen years travelling the length and breadth of the country, performing in Cabaret venues, including Hotels, Clubs, Holiday Parks, and even spent some time in Spain as an Entertainments’ Manager. Lee was raised on the music of the fifties and says his early influences included Guy Mitchell, Hank Williams, and the early “Rockabilly” style of Elvis. Lee stumbled into the country music scene when his wife was recovering from an operation in the Millennium year and they had some time on their hands. They had decided to visit a local “Country Music Club”, and were made to feel so welcome that they returned week after week. Before long Lee was recruited as the Vocalist/Rhythm guitarist and front man, for the Popular North East Band, “The Regulators” which went through many line-ups. Lee however, remained as the constant force behind the band. It was in 2006 when two of the band members left to take up “Proper Jobs” that Lee decided to embark upon a solo career on the country circuit. As he said, “he had developed so many friendships with people, that he missed the contact with the Country music crowd”. Lee has been steadily building his reputation in the North East and is constantly updating his material. Lee’s repertoire ranges from “Hank Williams” to current popular acts such as “Midland” and everything in between. Lee is a regular performer on the festival circuit in the North East, appearing at Guisborough, Western Mills, and Kelso Festivals. Lee is equally at home with a dancing, or listening audience, and his easy going style and manner is sure to please audiences of all ages and persuasions.
