Jonny & Lynnette
Jonny & Lynnette have worked hard to become one of Briton's best loved Country music duo's, traveling the length and breath of the country from as far north as the rugged coast of Shetland to the equally picturesque shores of Cornwall.
Jonny & Lynnette formed their duo back in 2009 when they became a couple both on and off stage but before that they were both busy solo artists.
Jonny has been in the music industry for nearly three decades when he first hit the stage with his four piece rock and roll band 'The Mercurys' who gained a great reputation and respect from the music business amounting to a performance at Birmingham's NEC to support the star Morrisey .
Jonny joined the country music scene in 1998 and has since never looked back winning numerous solo awards along the way for his traditional style of country music.
Lynnette loved music from a very early age and loved nothing more than making music with her friends through school years and beyond forming a band together then becoming a solo cabaret artist in 2003 and eventually taking the leap in 2007 to follow her dream and become a country singer.
The couple were married in 2014 and celebrated the only way they knew how with a star studded evening reception that could only be called a 'who's who' of British country music, singing and playing till late into the evening.
Since then the duo have been blessed with a fine selection of BCMA and CCN nominations and awards including the title CCN Duo of the year 2016 and this year Lynnette being awarded CCN Female Vocalist of the year 2017 which the couple are so very proud of.
Jonny and Lynnette share the same passion and love for the traditional style of country music which reflects in their live shows, with Jonny and his Gretsch guitar adding that authentic 1950's sound and Lynnette with her double bass 'Maybelle' pickin' and a pluckin' the bass notes their shows are full of energy and fun.
With over seventy years of country music to choose from Jonny & Lynnette try to pick out some little gems of songs that have been forgotten about over the years from country greats such as Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, Merle Haggard, George &Tammy to more recent artists Dale Watson and Heather Myles to name only a few.
Jonny and Lynnette have a range of solo and duo albums and duo dvd's available to buy from their website and have been featured regularly on some of the U.K. and Ireland's best country tv programs.
In the summer of 2017 the duo doubled in size to form the band 'Jonny & Lynnette's Rocky Road Ramblers' for a one off performance with Jonny's daughter Sophie keeping the beat on the drums and Lynnette's brother Adrian adding some blistering guitar work on both lead and lap steel guitar. The interest was so great that they have started taking bookings and are looking forward to playing their brand of music that favours the lively BR549 and Hank Williams to the sweet style of Patsy Cline and Wanda Jackson.
Keep an eye out for this band as they play and live by their motto 'have a good time all the time!' and they certainly intend to do just that.
